It was a mixture of poker skills and good luck that allowed the three time WSOP bracelet winner to win the title and there were occasions in which he lost almost half of his chips.
During the seminar he run in Florida, Mike Matusow taught poker fans how to make the most out of the new and more relaxed Florida legislation concerning poker. Previously, the buy-in limit for no-limit poker games in the state was just $100 and the change in the legislation has encouraged professional players to cash in inexperienced local players.
Matusow certainly made no friends while in Florida, particularly when he said during the seminar: “In Florida, you’re dealing with a lot of raw players, and they’re terrible.” With his win at the 2010 Florida State Poker Championship, Mike Matusow has accumulated a total $6.5 million during his career as a professional poker player.
