The 10th Annual European Poker Awards have been announced with many UK poker player names on the list. The ceremony will take place in Paris, France, next month and until then a group of poker experts will decide who will win the coveted awards and take home a golden aces trophy.
EPT San Remo winner Live Boeree has become the first woman in the history of the awards to be nominated in the Outstanding Tournament Performance category. The other nominated players are James Bord, Jake Cody, Fillipo Candio, Tobias Rinkemeier and David Vamplew. Boeree is also nominated for the Europe’s Leading Lady award along with Annette Obrestad.
Theo Jorgensen, Cody, Sam Trickett and Vladimir Schemelev are nominated for Player of the Year and online poker players Chris Moorman, Patrik Antonius, Mickey Petersen, Ilsidur1 and Andreas Torbergsen have nominated for the Internet Player of the Year award due to their great performances in online poker tournaments.
The ceremony, that will take place at the Queenie restaurant on 13th February, will also feature a Lifetime Achievement Award that will be announced at the ceremony. Cody, Vamplew, Toby Lewis, Julian Herold and Fernando Brito are up for the Rookie of the Year award.
