The Amazon Room continues hosting the WSOP Main Event, but now with fewer poker tables and poker players. A total of 574 players made it to day five of the poker competition but only 205 remained by the end of the day, including some familiar faces in the poker world. Many players are already starting to see themselves in the final table.

Johnny Chan is still on the race and with a good number of chips. Chan wants to win his 11th World Series of Poker bracelet to join Phil Hellmuth as the poker player with more bracelets in history. Besides, he would equal Stu Ungar and Johnny Moss as the only players who have won three main event titles. Chan ended the day in the top 10 with a huge pot.

“I just want to keep focused, try to stay away from big pots, and just try to survive,” Johnny Chan commented about moving into day 6. “Hopefully I can just survive, get down to heads up, and that’s where I’ll finish them off.” On the other hand, Michael and Robert Mizrachi are still on the game but his brother Danny was out on day 5. The fourth Mizrachi brother, Eric, fell on day four.

Some other big names still alive in the poker tournament include Jean-Robert Bellande, Bryn Kenney, Josh Brikis, John Racener, and Matt Affleck. Tristan Wade, Phil Galfond, Gabe Costner, Dave Baker, Jesper Hougaard, Adam Levy and Eric Baldwin also made it through the day. Tomorrow players will come back to play poker again and then only a couple of days will remain for the final table.
